hi

hi. today was wilderness awareness school. it was kind of lame, because all I did was saw a steel bar into six pieces and chop a log using a maul. It was drizzly and not altogether fun, except for the maul, because though it is physically difficult, it is immensly satisfying to hit a rotting log with a humongous axe. me and my friend were switching off, carrying logs and beating up the huge rotten log that johnny told us to destroy. that way, neither of us became too fatigued.
It is fun to use an axe. i wish my dad had a maul that didn't weigh about a thousand pounds, one that i could actually lift without straining a muscle. oh well.
yesterday i had my first meeting with my jazz band. we are a motley assortment of musicians, ranging in age from thirteen (The youngest aka ME) to adults. it was a lot of fun. i think that it will make me more interested in jazz piano. i cant wait for next week!
tomorrow i dont have anything planned. that is probably best, because i dont think that ill want to do anything tomorrow. in fact, as far as i know, i wont have to leave the house until saturday afternoon! yay!
